I retired from the US Army on August 1st, 2024 with over 20 years of service. During that time, I’ve had many opportunities to grow, learn, and influence others. I’m excited to be back home in Goldsboro, North Carolina, where I’ll spend time with family and embark on a new adventure in JROTC at Goldsboro High School. My goals for this upcoming school year are to help motivate each Cadet to be better citizens and learn from 1SG Gray who has served this community well for many years. I also want to thank the leadership at this school and the county who have given me this opportunity to continue serving.

After 20 years of active military service and 13 years as a JROTC Instructor, I am excited to start my eighth year here at Goldsboro High School. I entered the Army as a Psychological Operations (PSYOP) Specialist, allowing me to travel and serve in Cambodia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and numerous other countries worldwide. These travels and my interaction with different cultures influenced my interest in studying individual and group behaviors in an academic environment.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Dual Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management / Organizational Development. Additionally, I am a federally trained mediator and facilitator. My most memorable accomplishments include being rated as a Highly Effective Teacher, a National Scholastic Scholar, and Teacher of the Year for Goldsboro High School. Furthermore, I am proud to have coached Drill and Raider Teams in which they competed at the state level.

I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, staying physically fit, and camping. Most of all, I am passionate about helping others achieve their goals and be better citizens.
